Mai Chen (LLB (Hons) Otago LLM (Harvard) (FNZIM) is a partner in Chen Palmer New Zealand Public Law Specialists, Chair of the Superdiversity Centre for Law, Policy and Business, Adjunct Professor at the University of Auckland School of Law and a director on the Bank of NZ Board and Chair of the People and Remuneration Committee.
Mai is a thought leader, a direction setter, and a futures thinker. She is one of NZ’s top constitutional and administrative law experts, with 30 years of experience in the law and an expert on superdiversity and its impact on law, policy, and business.
Mai was a Top 50 Diversity Figures in Public Life in the Global Diversity List 2016 (affiliated with the Global Diversity Awards, supported by The Economist
Mai is also the inaugural Chair of NZ Global Women, including NZ’s top 200 women leaders. She founded and is the inaugural Chair of NZ Asian Leaders and is also the inaugural Chair of SUPERdiverse WOMEN.
