About Dr Hana O’Regan
Dr Hana O’Regan (Kāi Tahu / Pākehā) is an internationally recognised champion of language, culture and equity. An acclaimed expert on Te Reo Māori, she focuses on indigenous language revitalisation within her Kāi Tahu community, across Aotearoa and within communities around the globe.
Hana is CEO of CORE Education — a world-class organisation enabling cultural collaboration and transformation in the contemporary learning environment. She was previously general manager of Oranga / Wellbeing for Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu and director of Māori and Pasifika at Ara Institute of Canterbury.
Hana is a talented composer and accomplished author. She has held leadership positions on national boards, review panels and committees and was recently appointed to the Waitangi Tribunal.
