This will have a huge impact on the culture of our fairly new team going forward." — Kelly McGowan; Cluster Manager, Resource Teachers of Learning and Behaviour

"The tools in Dare to Lead™ provide practical steps that help grow valuable awareness of self in leadership in us every day." — Trent Hohaia; Trust Manager, Whiriwhiria Charitable Trust

What is Dare to Lead™?

Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building programme designed to improve leader agility, team effectiveness and a thriving culture.

Brené has spent two decades studying shame and more than seven years specifically looking at leadership. During her research, she interviewed leaders from all over the world — from Fortune 100 companies, non-profits, public sector entities and more — and asked one question: what is the future of leadership?

Their answers pointed to one thing: we need braver leaders.

WE NEED MORE COURAGE.

Sounds awesome. But how do we get it?

What are the learning outcomes?

The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research, and the foundation of Dare to Lead™, is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable and observable.

BUILD A BRAVER CULTURE AND DRIVE PERFORMANCE BY:

  • understanding how to effectively navigate vulnerability to unlock courage;

  • turning values from fluffy language into tangible, practical behaviours;

  • building a common culture of trust across your team; and

  • cultivating the skills to rise from setbacks and be more resilient.

Most importantly, you’ll be able to put the material into action at the programme by practicing the principles with your cohort, so that you leave prepared to implement the learning in your organisation.

Who should attend?

THIS CURRICULUM IS ESSENTIAL FOR TEAMS WHO WANT TO:

  • be better equipped to deal with difficult conversations;

THIS EXPERIENCE IS FOR YOU IF:
