Over two unmissable days, E Tipu 2021: The Boma NZ Agri Summit brings together people, knowledge and innovation from across the primary sector, providing a platform to be more innovative, profitable, sustainable and collaborative.
Since the inaugural 2019 Boma NZ Agri Sumit, the primary sector has been rocked by exponential change and challenges as the impact of the pandemic sets in.
E Tipu tackles critical questions on the changing market, how COVID-19 affects operations, which new business models we should be exploring and how we can leverage local and global collaboration. It also explores the role of Māori wisdom, values and practices in our unique value proposition.
The event covers four fundamental themes, each vital to successfully shaping of the future of food and fibre in Aotearoa:
Auahatanga / Innovation
Haututūtanga / Disruption
Kia Toitū, Kia Toiora / Transformation
Whakaohoohotanga / Inspiration
Auahatanga / Innovation showcases the emerging technologies and ideas that growers and producers are using on-farm to be faster, more efficient and more effective, addressing the challenge and importance of maintaining profitability while operating more sustainably into the future.
Tackling the theme Haututūtanga / Disruption is more vital than ever before with exponential change and disruptive business models affecting primary industries globally. E Tipu dives into the new models and trends that could turn our food and fibre sectors on their head — and the ones that are already here.
Kia Toitū, Kia Toiora / Transformation uncovers how we can re-think, re-shape and evolve our primary industries to adapt to the future. E Tipu highlights transformative new ideas, products and goals from young farmers, growers and producers — from tackling climate change to mental health.
The theme Whakaohoohotanga / Inspiration is about filling our cup and igniting that fire in our bellies during a time universally agreed as tough — building resilience and spawning new ideas. E Tipu will inspire, share successes, show what's possible and prove that meaningful change can start with a single individual.
The intersection of these key themes is evident in E Tipu’s speaker line-up with many spearheading multiple areas in their work.
