About Julia George
Julia George has been a marketing and communications professional for nearly 20 years. Hailing from New Zealand, her international experience covers roles in some of the top communications agencies in New Zealand before she moved to Europe with senior roles at global agencies including the Communications Store and Edelman. Having garnered brand experience across a number of key brands during this time, she moved in-house to Heineken, leading their global partnerships portfolio, including Formula 1 and Formula E. Within this role, she played a pivotal part in Heineken expanding its sponsorship platforms to take on women’s series: W Series and the Women’s Euros.
From there, she joined Red Bull Technology in 2022 to become Director of Partnerships across two F1 teams (Oracle Red Bull Racing + Visa Cash App Racing Bulls), where her leadership spans a team of over 30 people as they manage one of F1’s biggest partnership portfolios with over 50 partners. As part of this role, she is also part of the team behind four-time F1 World Champion Max Verstappen, contributing to the commercial and strategic success of Red Bull’s motorsport ventures. Additionally, she oversees the F1A programme, where Red Bull is fostering and supporting female motorsport talent.

As a founder of the non-profit Ministry of Awesome, Kaila played a critical role in developing Christchurch’s startup ecosystem. She has extensive governance experience, and has been involved with mergers, capital raises, and company sales in the US and NZ. She trained with Brené Brown and Al Gore, and is a chartered member of the Institute of Directors and a certified Project Management Professional.
A native New Yorker, Kaila speaks English, Spanish, French and Italian. She holds a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Cornell University. Her purpose in life is to be an uplifting presence.
